The Specialist

Local Roots. Accredited Practice.

Cody Boreham is a fully qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and accredited member of the Myotherapy Association Australia (MAA), practising at Surf & Sports Myotherapy in Noosaville, Queensland. He is one of Noosa’s own, born and raised in the Noosa Shire, with a genuine, lived understanding of the community he now treats.

Cody completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) at Evolve College, a nationally recognised training organisation regulated under the Australian Qualifications Framework. His diploma covers advanced soft tissue assessment, remedial massage technique, and treatment planning for musculoskeletal dysfunction, the clinical foundation behind every session he delivers.

“Persistent lower back and hip pain led me to discover the benefits of Remedial Massage Therapy and Yoga. Now I get to help others understand their bodies and live pain-free.”

— Cody Boreham, Remedial Massage Therapist, Surf & Sports Myotherapy

Cody’s own recovery journey is central to how he practises. Before training as a therapist, he worked in Landscape Construction, a physically demanding trade that led to his own chronic lower back and hip pain. That firsthand experience of pain, recovery, and the value of proper treatment gives Cody a genuine empathy for what his patients are going through, not a textbook approximation.

The Local

Born in Noosa. Built for Noosa’s Active Life.

Cody grew up immersed in Noosa’s surf and skate culture from childhood — a background that shapes how he understands movement, load, and the physical toll of an active lifestyle. Where some practitioners study Noosa’s active community from the outside, Cody has lived it from day one.

That early passion for surfing and skateboarding fostered a lifelong interest in sports and movement — long before Cody had the clinical vocabulary to explain what he was noticing in his own body. His path into remedial massage wasn’t academic curiosity; it was personal necessity, followed by a genuine calling to help others avoid the same pain cycle he went through.

Today, Cody applies that same local, lived understanding to every patient at Surf & Sports Myotherapy — whether it’s a surfer managing shoulder tightness after a big swell, a tradesperson carrying chronic postural strain, or a weekend warrior recovering from an overuse injury around Noosaville and the wider Sunshine Coast.

The Approach

Understand the Body. Then Treat It.

Cody’s approach to remedial massage is shaped by his own recovery story: pain has a root cause, and treating that cause, not just the symptom, is what leads to lasting results. He combines hands-on remedial massage technique with movement education, drawing on his yoga training to help patients understand and manage their own bodies between sessions.

Having managed his own chronic pain, Cody understands what it feels like to be a patient. That shapes a treatment style that’s attentive, communicative, and focused on real outcomes

  •
Assessment-led treatment. Cody takes the time to understand what’s actually driving a patient’s pain or restriction before applying a technique, informed by his Diploma-level training in soft tissue assessment.

  • Movement and massage, combined.  As a qualified Yoga instructor, Cody brings a movement-based perspective to remedial massage, helping patients build mobility and body awareness alongside hands-on treatment.

  • Genuine empathy, not routine treatment. Having managed his own chronic pain, Cody understands what it feels like to be a patient. That shapes a treatment style that’s attentive, communicative, and focused on real outcomes

  • Community-first care. As a Noosa local, Cody is genuinely invested in helping his own community stay active and pain-free — not just treating clients, but contributing to the health of the town he grew up in.

Whether you’re managing chronic lower back or hip pain, recovering from sport or trade-related strain, or simply looking for a remedial massage therapist who understands Noosa’s active lifestyle from the inside, Cody offers evidence-based, genuinely local care at Surf & Sports Myotherapy.
